Major Update to the Website

April 18th, 2009

Hello Everyone,

We released another major update today to our website and added a bunch of new features.  You can now add friends and keep track of what your friends are up to.  Once you add a friend, you’ll be able to see what schedules they’re following and what they are commenting on.  In addition, you’ll be able to share schedules very easily with your friends as well as sending them private messages on the site.  Once you follow a schedule, you’ll be able see which of your friends are also following that schedule.  Don’t forget to check the ‘Recent Updates’ tab on your My Schedules page to see what all your friends have been up to.  There are a couple other minor enhancements to fix some issues people were having.

As we’ve just released a bunch of new features, we’re stuff you’ll help us work out the kinks.  Please keep us updated at support@skedet.com or support.skedet.com so we can track the issues.

Thanks,

The Skedet Crew

We’ve added the ability to chat about an individual event from both the website and the iPhone client.  While you are viewing a schedule, you can (tap an event on the iPhone) or (click the green expand button on the web) and see all of the chats going on about that event.  You will be allowed to write a comment from both the iPhone client and the website.  This will allow people to communicate about events and coordinate activities such as carpools, what to bring to an event, who is going, and best of all some trash talking for sporting events.  This should create lots of fun conversations and interactions, we’re looking forward to it.

In addition, we’ve now added a highlight on the website for the next event in a schedule, so you can visually see when it is.

To all the iPhone Beta Testers, an email was sent with instructions on how to upgrade.  We’ve made a bunch of little tweaks on the iPhone client as well.

Skedet The Blog Launched

March 8th, 2009

Hello Everyone,

As we approach the launch of Skedet.com, we decided to setup a blog to discuss the latest updates with the site.  We are looking forward to launching the service and continuing beta testing to work out as many issues as possible.  We’ll use this blog to discuss new features and gather user feedback.  In addition, we’ve launched a twitter account @skedet, which will be a live feed of schedules being created.  As users create public schedules, they will be sent out to the @skedet account on twitter, so you can keep track of the latest schedules and follow them immediately.  We’ll also use @skedet to discuss important announcements, blog posts and new features.

We’re looking forward to opening our doors soon, keep checking back for updates.

Thanks,

The Skedet Team
